Gift Delivery Policy
In order to deliver your cookies hot and fresh, and to avoid having to make multiple attempts at delivery, the following steps outline our normal procedure for making gift deliveries.
Office or Place of Work

We make and deliver your cookies at whatever time you request. No prior phone call will be made since we can be reasonably sure that someone will be there to accept the order.

We either hand-deliver the order to the recipient at the workplace, or leave the order with the receptionist, depending on the procedures of each workplace.
Apartment, House, or Fraternity House

First we call the recipient to make sure they will be home when the cookies are ready. If you have specified a certain time for delivery, we will call an hour to an hour and a half in advance so that the cookies will be ready at that time. (It usually takes about an hour from time of phone call) (This is due to the fact that we need to be sure the recipient will be home when we deliver, to avoid having to leave the order on the porch.)

If the recipient will be home at that time, we bake the cookies and deliver them.

If the person is not home when we originally call, we will leave a message for them to call us. The message usually says; "Hi________. This is Tiff's Treats, and someone has ordered a gift for you today. We were just calling to see when would be a good time to send out your gift. Please give us a call back at xxx-xxxx."

If we do not hear from the recipient after several hours, we will try the phone number again until we get a hold of the person and arrange for delivery. Note: If the recipient's telephone is not working, or is not being answered, we will not be able to deliver the gift.

If we arrange a time to deliver with the recipient, and they are not home or answering their door at that time, we will leave the order on their front door. We will leave them a telephone message alerting them to the presence of the order.

If you would like your gift sent out at a certain time without a prior phone call made to the recipient, we can do so only if you allow us to leave the order on the front door if the recipient is not home or answering their door. HOWEVER, We are not responsible for stolen or damaged orders that are left on the porch at your request.
Sorority House

We make and deliver your cookies at whatever time you request. No prior phone call will be made since we can be reasonably sure that someone will be home to accept the order.

We either hand-deliver the order to the recipient at the house, or leave the order with another resident of the sorority house, depending on whether or not the recipient is home. We will leave a telephone message for the recipient alerting her to the presence of the gift if she is not home to accept it personally.
University of Texas Public Dorms and SMU Dorms

First we call the recipient to make sure they will be home when the cookies are ready. If you have specified a certain time for delivery, we call an hour prior so that the cookies will be ready at that time. (It usually takes about an hour from time of phone call) (This is due to the fact that these dorms will not hold non-mail deliveries at the front desk if recipient is not home).

If the recipient will be home at that time, we bake the cookies and deliver them.

When we arrive, we call them again so they can meet us in the lobby. (This is due to dorm security constraints that make it impossible for us to go to up the rooms)

The order cannot be delivered unless we get a hold of the recipient by phone both when we set a delivery time, and when we actually deliver.

University of Texas Private Dorms
[UT's Towers, SRD, Hardin House]

We make and deliver your cookies at whatever time you request.

We call the recipient when we arrive downstairs so they can meet us in the lobby.

If neither recipient nor roommate is home to accept the gift, we leave the order at the front desk and leave a telephone message alerting the recipient to the presence of the order.
Out-of-Zone Location

Same call ahead procedures are followed for these orders.

We make the cookies and call the order in to a courier service.

The courier service then picks up and delivers the cookies straight to the recipient.

You may specify a window of time in which the cookies should arrive, but delivery times cannot be exact when using courier services, based on the variability of how long they are running for deliveries on different days.
Ordering Policies

Two & three dozen orders always come in one box.

May not use coupons or other discounts in conjunction with specials.

$5 minimum order for delivery.

$2.99 delivery charge to send gift, 15% for orders over $75.

15% delivery charge for any order over $75. 10% delivery charge for orders over $150.

Delivery to the Capitol is an additional $2.50.
-
Delivery to a hospital may be an additional $2.50 depending on the hospital.
Delivery Policy
In order to ensure the safety of our drivers, Tiff's Treats does not guarantee delivery times.
Uncontrollable events such as weather, traffic, construction, and other factors can affect the timing of your delivery. Please be aware that the time quote you receive is simply an estimation of when we will be able to arrive, and not a guarantee of an exact delivery time. Please also be aware that deliveries going to the Capitol, a hospital, or out-of-the-zone with the courier service generally take longer than the usual hour for delivery.
Tiff's Treats guarantees delivery only to the address you specify when ordering, not to the recipient. We do not take responsibility when given incorrect addresses or recipient information. (For ex: company has moved; recipient is on vacation, etc.)
Although we will make every effort to correct any error we find before delivery, we cannot be responsible for the order once it has been delivered to the address you have specified. Therefore, please make sure that you have correct delivery information when ordering, as we cannot credit you back for these orders.
If you are not home, or answering your phone when we deliver to you, you will be responsible for picking up your order. You will not be refunded. If you order for yourself, but are not present to sign your own card or present payment, you will be charged a 15% delivery fee.
